burnout

I’d had my eye on this burnout velvet open wrap to for a while and was oh so delighted when Santa brought it to me under the tree. I have been experimenting with all kinds of ways to wear it and am imagining it next open, kimono bedroom jacket style-  a little more bohemian rockstar chic.

On another note, we have been having unseasonably warm weather here in SF this week – hello 67 degrees! Does not bode well for Tahoe snow, but the sunshine is of, course, so welcome. Happy Friday!

Happy NYE!

Fantasy Football? No Thanks. Fantasy Outfitting? Yes please!

This, my dears, is my fantasy New Years Eve outfit.

If I was doing something super glamorous tonight I would be wearing something along these lines: short, sparkly, feathered with loads of necklaces and sky high black and gold velvet heels, 1920s inspired (I have been watching Midnight in Paris on repeat this week – j’adore those outfits on Marion Cotillard).

However, I will be ringing in the New Year in a cabin, ski resort style and will be wearing furry boots and a little sparkle (this top) with a big comfy sweater. But a girl can fantasize right?

Happy New Year’s Eve!

Hope you’re off doing something fun, and of course, wearing some sparkle (even if just on your nails). Cheers! xx

There may be nothing better than a cozy fairisle almost-duster length sweater coat and shearling lined boots for an afternoon walk out in the snowy winter woods  xx

flannel + leather

Uniqlo flannel plaid shirt (similar here), vintage leather skirt (similar here), Urban Outfitters feather necklace, Gap heels, Kooba clutch, Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses

This is my ode to Seattle 90s leather and flannel… in a modern 2011/12 kind of way…

I have been basically living in my Uniqlo flannel plaid shirts (see here) I got in New York. They are so comfy and cozy and I have been mixing them up with everything- leather, feathers, patent, suede, etc.

It’s been rather balmy in San Francisco lately in true California spirit. Not for long for me though, as I head up to Whistler, Canada on Thursday for some fun in the snow! Hope you all have fun Holiday plans!

holiday sparkle

vintage sequin dress (similar here), jacket & clutch (similar here), Milly for Hue polka dot tights (similar here), Vince Camuto heels

I had the most fun weekend full of holiday party hopping (tis the season!) from one end of the city to the other – and that called for a seriously festive outfit. Cue my vintage blue sequin shift dress from Held Over on Haight St, some polka dot tights, throw in a little leopard and a little fur and good to go.  Some lipstick would’ve been nice, but you know, you can’t win um all. And it just comes off when you’re heavily cocktailing right?

I am keeping the party going (cause why not?) all this week while my good girlfrend Alicia is in town from New York, so many more festive outfits to come. I am thinking of remixing my DIY feather skirt for tomorrow!
