life update!

Hello everyone! I am back from the dead…did you miss me? I took a little break to focus momentarily on my day job and take a girls trip to Tahoe! But, here I am, back at cha. What’s that you ask? What have I been up to between all this work business? I thought you’d never ask… a little life update in pictures for ya…

happy valentine’s day

I was thrilled when Bon Iver won ‘Best New Artist’ at the Grammy’s, although it felt kind of odd as I have been a lover of his music for many years now (ahhh skinny love…). His subtle and sweeping love poems just really get me, and thus his lyrics felt fitting for a little Valentine’s post ♥

So Happy Valentine’s Day from me to you! I’m going on a fancy schmancy date with a girlfriend tonight who last-minute scored some tickets to the Symphony. I have actually never been, so I am pretty excited to check it out as I heard SF’s is pretty magical. And I will most definitely be wearing my beloved heart Equipment blouse!

A second look from my photoshoot with Sarah Deragon. This outfit was sort of my ode to ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and 20s boudoir chic. I have a collection of vintage slip dresses I have collected over the years and I couldn’t resist pulling a couple of my favorites out for this shoot. A slew of art deco jewelry, my favorite glamorous fur and magenta lips solidified the look.

Many of you have asked about my hair and makeup in these two posts, so I am planning on doing a roundup of all my favorite products soon. xx

update!

Little update on the state of the union here on The Wonder Girl: The other day I moved my blog off of WordPress.com onto a self-hosted server, allowing for much more flexibility on what I can do here. It was an arduous process but so far, all has worked out! I am so excited to see where this little blog evolves to.
